Mohamad Ali Manial Palace

Mohamad Ali Manial palace is one of the best-known museums in Cairo.
The palace was built by Muhammad Ali , the uncle of king Farouk, between 1901 and 1929.
Its interiors and architecture are a fascinating merging of Ottoman, Moorish, Persian and European rococo styles, while the gardens are planted with rare tropical plants collected by the prince.
The complex consists of six structures.
Among these structures is a museum that houses King Farouk’s hunting trophies, the prince’s residence and equipment,
and a museum that houses family heirlooms.
The palace also houses a collection of manuscripts, carpets, textiles, brass and crystal.
Among the items you can see here is a table made of elephant ears and a 1000-piece silver service.

The reception palace was built to receive and welcome guests, especially the important ones.
The 0lace consists of 2 floors and wooden stairs.
For the first time, it includes an honorary room to receive official figures, senior statesmen, ambassadors and a reception room for senior worshippers with the Prince at his mosque in the palace.
The second floor, with two large Moroccan-style halls with mirrors and ishani tiles.
The other hall was designed in the Shami style, where the walls with the ceiling were carved out with timber with precision-executed geometric and plant decorations along with writings from the holy Quran and verses of poetry. 

Residency Palace

It is the main Palace and the first buildings built.
The Prince’s residence was composed of two floors with a precision ladder.
The first floor includes the fountain lobby, women’s room, mirror room, blue salon room, shell salon room,
dining room, heated room, prince’s office and library.
The halls differ from each other for decorations and collections of antiques and exhibits between furniture,
carpets, photographs, paintings and jewelry.
The residency palace is a museum of the types of Turkish qishan tiles,
with a tower attached overlooking the most important places of Cairo and Giza.

Private Museum

It is Located on the southern side of the Palace.
The museum consists of fifteen halls with a courtyard with a small garden.
It displays rare collections of rare Arabic carpets and manuscripts and oil photographs of some members
of Muhammad Ali’s family besides paintings of landscapes, metal antiques, crystal glass antiques,
and a set of writing tools, clothing, bedding, furniture, furniture and candles.

The museum was added to the palace in 1963 by selecting a long corridor beside the north wall and transforming it into a hunting museum.
