Luxor Temple is a huge ancient Egyptian temple compound located on the east bank of the river Nile. The temple was constructed in 1400 BCE. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple was not dedicated to any god or pharaoh. Instead, it was dedicated to the coronation of new kingship. It has served as a ceremonial place for most pharaohs of Egypt who received crowns. The courtyard is composed of 74 columns in which you can see the pharaoh with different deities. In the center, a sanctuary consists of three chapels, dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Junsu, decorated by Ramses II. They served as storage for the sacred boats. The complex contains the temple of Seti I, the temple of Hatshepsut, and the temple of Ramses II in addition to other temples that are enjoyable.

Karnak temple was built for the gods Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The temple consists of a number of temples where you can see Ramses III temple, Hatshepsut’s Standing Obelisk, temple of Thutmose III, and temple of Khonsu.
